Spigen Slim Armor Pro Case Review for Galaxy Z Fold 4

Samsung Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is a very expensive smartphone, so spending money to protect your investment is justified. The case brand Spigen has several options with different levels of protection and functionality.

It's been two months since I bought the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, and while other fantastic phones have been released, it's hard to beat the big screen experience and stunning engineering marvel of Samsung's latest foldable phone.

Spigen offers six case options for the Z Fold 4, along with a lid display protector, a camera lens protector, and two car mounts for the Galaxy Z Fold 4. In this article, we'll be looking at the Spigen Slim Armor Pro.

The most unique aspect of the Spigen Slim Armor Pro is that it has a protector that covers the long hinge of the Z Fold 4 when closed. The phone itself covers the hinge when it's in the fully open position, but when it's not and the external display is in use, the hinge is susceptible to drop damage. It is critical to the usability of the device itself, so protecting it is important.

The Spigen Slim Armor Pro case is a two-piece case like the other Z Fold 4 cases. The back cover has a large hole for the cameras and is cut out on the edge for the volume area and fingerprint sensor with enough holes for the USB-C port and two microphones. The back is black with a soft touch matte finish and also has some yellow foam inserts to help with impact and provide protection to your phone.

The front part is mostly a frame with the protective part for the hinges. The two parts of the case fit snugly with double-sided tape that also helps hold it in place. A soft-touch frame with a matte finish covers the edges with openings for the dual stereo speakers.

The hinge mechanism is designed with springs and slides over the top of the back cover when the phone is fully open. In the fully open position, when the hinge is hidden by the phone itself, the hinge protector rests on the back panel. This helped me hold the phone a little more firmly.

When the Z Fold 4 is placed on a flat surface it adheres tightly, except for the camera matrix when fully open. This is not the case with the phone wrapped in Slim Armor Pro. Now there is a big hump in the middle so the phone wobbles on it.
