SLC Cache technology
A55 implements "SLC Cache technology" with a caching architecture that combines SLC and TLC flash blocks. This technology allows all data to be written to the SLC section before being sequentially copied to the TLC block, and as a consequence allows for higher peak write performance. The A55 also uses a "DRAM buffer cache" to improve overall performance and to reduce write gain in the TLC portion. This leads to increased durability and a longer life for the SSD.
